ABOUT AWAKE OUTREACH
AWAKE Outreach (Animal Welfare And Knowledge Exchange) is a Scandinavian initiative, an non-profit NGO. The organisation is comprised of a group of veterinarians, veterinary nurses and entrepreneurs applying our skills to improve animal welfare and quality of life for animals and humans globally. We promote One Health and One Welfare principles on an international level.

OUR AIMS
Aim One
Apply our professional skills to improve animal welfare and promote One Health and One Welfare principles internationally.
Aim Two
Collaborate with, and strengthen, already existing animal welfare programs, together with local stakeholders in the community.
Aim Three
Support and develop sustainable animal welfare programs in developing countries.
AWAKE INDIA
Our first international program is in collaboration with VSPCA (Visakha Society for the Protection and Care of Animals), Visakhapatnam, India. The VSPCA was established in 1996 and over the last 20 years they have made great strides in improving the conditions for animals in the region.
SUPPORT US
Our goals are to increase VSPCA’s life saving capacity and improve the welfare and quality of life for animals in the shelter and the community through medical training, organizational development, exchange programs and continued education.
